What is Convention?
AMSA National Convention is the most anticipated event of the year for medical students both in Australia and overseas. The 62nd Convention will host hundreds of rangers in Adelaide, from 28th June – 3rd July 2021. Convention attendees will enjoy a refreshing array of academic, social and wellbeing programs throughout the week. With Reinvention as the theme for Adelaide 2021, students will have ample opportunities to network with world-class medical leaders, and attend curated workshops focused on tangible skill development. A host of activities including intervarsity events, field trips, and social nights will complement the rewarding academic program. As the world’s largest student-run conference, the Convention is unparalleled in its aspirations to inspire, upskill and connect all participants.
Reinvention 21 – Our Vision
Adelaide 2021 aspires to remould what Convention has been in previous years. We are delighted to host Reinvention, where both the seasoned and new ranger can rediscover their potential, reimagine their future in Medicine, and rejoice in forging new bonds.
In keeping with tradition, delegates can look forward to attending plenaries by eminent speakers from Medicine and other prominent fields. We aim to reignite the academics program further by enhancing the participants’ networking opportunities with speakers. Delegates will enjoy the innovative workshops focusing on cutting-edge developments that will hone their clinical skills.
With re-inspiring themes and re-energising activities, our social nights and Gala Ball will be held at prime venues within the Adelaide grid. For those who wish to revel or retreat, we envisage the celebration of new friendships in an inclusive, supportive and safe environment.
A reinvigorating sports and wellbeing program will include the much-loved intervarsity competitions, together with activities that recharge every delegate’s mind, body and spirit.
